Donald Trump thinks LiAngelo Ball and his two UCLA teammates are ungrateful for his assistance in helping them return to the U.S.The POTUS requested the assistance of the Chinese President to help get these boys out of the country after they were arrested for shoplifting last week.

They faced up to 10 years in prison, but some strings were pulled and the boys were able to get back home. Trump took to Twitter to boast about his involvement. “Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you President Trump? They were headed for 10 years in jail!” he tweeted.

After being held in China for a week, LiAngelo and teammates Jalen Hill and Cody Riley returned to the U.S. on Tuesday. TMZ reported that Trump personally spoke with China’s president Xi Jinping to help get the UCLA players out of trouble. John Kelly, the president’s chief of staff, described Trump’s conversation with Jinping while speaking with The New York Times.

“Our president said to Xi, ‘Do you know anything about these knuckleheads that got caught allegedly stealing?'” he said. “The president was saying, ‘It’s not too serious. We’d love to see this taken care of in an expeditious way.’”
