Cam’ron and Jim Jones are together again on a brand new Diplomats track titled “Once Upon a Time” with production that will bring any listener right back to the group’s heyday.
The feuding brothers seem to have put their recent quarrel aside to release this official Dipset track and do a some scheduled shows together. Cam comes with a lot of heat, even referencing Harvey Weinstein getting smacked by Dame Dash on the set of his cult classic film “Paid in Full.”
Jones references his deal with Roc Nation, which points to the song being recorded after his Instagram Live beef with Cam. Juelz is noticeably absent on the track, but longtime Dipset fans will be pleased to hear the Capo and Killa back at it. The Diplomats are also scheduled to perform together at the Rap Caviar concert on November 21 with the A$AP Mob.
Cam’ron and Jim Jones weren’t on the best of terms last winter after Capo went on Funk Flex’s show and took a lot of credit for the rise of Cam’ron and the Dipset. Cam jumped on Instagram Live a few days later and attempted to discredit Jim’s account of their come-up. The back and forth resulted in a lot of fans thinking the group was done for good, but now it looks like they put it behind them.
