Previously, Tyrese was allegedly accused of child abuse against his 10-year-old daughter Shayla. However, those charges were dropped. Since then, the actor’s legal troubles have been heating up, as he is set to face his ex-wife Norma Gibson in court over a permanent restraining order she filed against him. According to reports, Norma Gibson sought the permanent restraining order after she claimed that Tyrese beat their daughter.

The hearing is set to take place this Tuesday but may find Tyrese without legal representation. The actor’s lawyer Terry Levich Ross filed for a substitution of attorney, which means he will not be representing Tyrese moving forward. If Tyrese cannot find a replacement lawyer to represent him in court, the ‘Fast & Furious’ will more than likely be representing himself.

In the past few weeks, Tyrese has been in the news for his legal troubles, as well as breakdowns related to his family issues. Since then, the actor has released an apology video online mentioning that the legal issues he faces are taking a toll on his mental state. Along with that, Tyrese mentioned that he was on prescription drugs. “After seeing several psychiatrists and therapists trying to help me out, one of the psychiatrists suggested some medicine, and it really f**ked me up in a real way.”
