After an emotionally draining week, Tyrese is breathing easier, as it is being reported that the investigation into child abuse claims made against him by ex-wife Norma Gibson has been dropped.

According to celebrity news publications The Blast, the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services found no reason to continue its probe after conducting interviews and reviewing what evidence may have been available to support Norma's claim. The LADCFS jumped on the case as a formality resultant of Norma accusing Tyrese of once whipping their 10-year-old daughter Shayla so hard that she was unable to sit down for a period of time.

Tyrese has been very open to the public about the emotions he's been going through with every day as his trial plays out. The Fast & Furious star has received sympathy from some and criticism from others over his posting a recording of himself breaking down over the possibility of losing his daughter Shayla to a permanent restraining order. In the recording, Tyrese sheds tears and begins to panic as he wonders whether or not he could have gotten in trouble for speaking on the matter via Instagram. He later released a video, letting his fans know that he was doing okay.
