Celebrities fan out too. Today's reminder came from Teyana Taylor, who lost it after a FaceTime call with her idol, Janet Jackson.
Taylor was upset her flight to Milwaukee, Wisconsin was delayed, causing her to Miss Jackson's "State of the World" stop there on Sunday. Fans say they saw Taylor crying about the incident on Instagram live. At 7:59 PM Sunday Taylor tweeted, "I am distraught."
Sometimes, social media uses its powers for good. Barely an hour later, another tweet from Taylor showed a drastic change. "BI******* IM MOTHA F***** HOLLERINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG OMG JANET JACKSON JUST FACETIME'D ME OMG OMG OMFG."
In the video Taylor's husband Iman Shumpert took, she tells Jackson through tears, "I literally have been crying all day." Jackson replies, "I was looking forward to meeting you. I really was."
The call was a surprise-- but it seems like that's not where their interaction will end. Jackson asks Taylor if she will make another tour date (no one specifies which upcoming date). Without missing a beat, Taylor says yes. On Instagram, the Pop icon posted a photo of her call with the Harlem native. She captioned the picture, "@teyanataylor I meant what I said. You're so beautiful! Can't wait to meet you in person. Love and blessings. -J"
Taylor is a long time Janet fan, often dressing like her and performing the singer's hits. It looks like it won't be long before the two share a stage together. Check the video above.
