Video of two women who attempted to steal from a Philadelphia 7-Eleven is now viral on social media. The clip, recorded earlier this month, shows the shoplifters locked inside the convenience store after attempting to get away.

Throughout the seven and a half minute-long footage, 20-year-old Lashae Whitaker is seen raging with outbursts and fits of anger that result in her knocking items off of shelves and walking up to get in the face of employees who had positioned themselves in front of the door to try to hold her and 28-year-old Tiera Brown inside of the premises until authorities arrive.

Meanwhile, a group of men outside of the glass storefront look on, recording, and at times egging the young ladies on with encouragement to strike the workers. Eventually, a police officer arrives -- and the situation begins to escalate.

After having kept Whitaker and Brown from accessing the store opening for several minutes, the employees finally move out of the way for the women to leave, assuming that they'd be apprehended. But the officer's backup had not arrived yet, and so he forces them back into the store, and the door is closed behind him. The officer attempts to cuff Whitaker, which set her off into a struggle, that resulted in them falling to the ground. The officer is able to physically restrain Whitaker, but when he notices that she will continue to fight him off, he enhances his aggression and begins to swing on her, prompting an outcry from the witnesses outside.

Finally, Whitaker and Brown were removed from the store and ushered into a police car to be hauled away. They have been charged with causing or risking a catastrophe, aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of a crime, resisting arrest, terroristic threats and related offenses.
