The reason for Lil B being jumped by A Boogie's crew may have stemmed from a single tweet. On September 30th of this year, the Based God tweeted, "I FEEL LIKE I REP NEW YORK HIP HOP HARDER THEN SOME OF THE ARTIST FROM NEW YORK! THESE NEW YORK ARTIST SOUND LIKE FUTURE N DEJ LOAF - Lil B." What's notable in this tweet is that shortly afterward, A Boogie's rhyme partner, Don Q, directly replied to Lil B with "shut the fuck up ni**a." Clearly, Lil B's sneak diss was on A Boogie's radar.

The beatdown caused Lil B to cancel his scheduled performance at the Rolling Loud Bay Area festival Saturday night. He told the crowd that he wouldn't perform because A Boogie and his crew stole his equipment. “Boogie and his whole crew just jumped and beat me up in the back. That shit crazy, man. But I’ma tell y’all like this: It’s all love, I don’t promote violence, I’m never with the violence. So I love them, and it’s all good.

"I said something about Boogie music, and they all got mad and they jumped me about that ... So I just wanted to tell y’all ’cause they stole my shit and everything so I can’t even do my show, ’cause they stole my shit. It’s all love, though, and I love them, and I love y’all.” A Boogie has yet to comment on the brawl.
