After beating the legendary New York Yankees 4-0, the Houston Astros will meet the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2017 World Series. Justin Verlander was named ALCS MVP. The Astros won the 7th game of the series after losing three straight games at Yankee Stadium. Houston won the last 2 games of the series to win the American League pennant for the first time in their history.
This will be the first time since 2005 that the Astros have gotten to the World Series, which they lost to the Chicago White Sox. They have never actually won a World Series in their 56-year history.
