Immigration Customs and Enforcement agents were caught on camera illegally entering a home and detaining an innocent man. George Cardenas and his friend, Carlos Bolanos, were painting inside of a Portland home when ICE agents came inside to arrest Bolanos. The illegal detaining occurred on Thursday.

The plain clothed agents consisted of three men and one woman. In the video, George Cardenas is heard asking them if they have a warrant. The ICE agent responds saying that a warrant isn't necessary for a vacant home. When Cardenas retorts saying the owner just isn't here at the moment, the agent says, “When you opened the door for me and construed where Carlos was, I construed that was permission to enter.” Afterwards, when asked they refused to identify themselves and one of the agents laughed when asked.

As on the status of Bolanos, ICE released a statement saying, "The alien at issue has been released from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody pending further investigation regarding the circumstances of his arrest, and the matter has been referred to the ICE Office of Professional Responsibility and the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General. The Agency is reviewing this incident.”
