TMZ recently caught up with Deon Cole, who said that To Kill a Mockingbird shouldn't be banned from schools over the use of the n-word. He explained that he wants the younger generation to be inspired and proud of where society has come from and where it is now.

During the clip, Deon also said that he feels like people are trying to erase history to falsely show "nothing ill has ever happened to black people in life."
