Marshawn Lynch let his emotions get the best of him during Thursday Night Football's battle between the Chiefs and Raiders in Oakland on October 19. One thing led to another after a late hit on quarterback Derek Carr resulted in a mix-up between linemen on both teams. Amidst the confusion, Lynch wound up putting his hands on the referee and was ejected as a result.

Lynch wasn't even in the game when the incident took place. He had been momentarily relieved, with backup Jalen Richard taking some reps to give him a bit of rest, midway through the second Quarter. But the Oaktown native refused to watch from the sidelines after seeing Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters trample Carr, and so he charged out onto the field to come to his defense. After turning to push and grab line judge Julian Mapp, who had been attempting to de-escalate the situation, a flag was thrown and Lynch was called for contact with an official. He was then escorted to the locker room.

Lynch will be fined $30,387 for the penalty and he also stands to lose $79,411 for taking matters into his own hands, should the league suspend him for coming off of the bench to join in the altercation.
