The NFL players recently polled, the votes are in, and according to his peers across the league, Giants star Eli Manning is the most overrated quarterback in football.

On Wednesday, October 18, ESPN released the results of a poll it conducted with 155 players, who each had to answer one of a series of prompts on the playcalling position. Questions ranged to get players' takes on who talks the most trash, who would make for the least liked teammate, and who they'd love nothing more than to sack if given the chance. Patriots G.O.A.T. Tom Brady took the majority of votes for that final prompt, with many admitting they've fantasized about posterizing the perennial Super Bowl champ. Brady also got the most nods when asked who would likely win the most rings over the next 10 years, albeit he is now 40-years-old and commanding a squad that came dangerously close to losing to the Jets this past weekend.

Perhaps the most revealing category, however, was that of the most overrated QB. Ravens veteran Joe Flacco received 10% of the vote, while oft-injured Andrew Luck was ascribed the title by 11% of respondents. But they were both beat-out by Manning, who received a leading 14% of respondents polled.

Nostalgic While Giants fans may continue to sit content with the pair of titles he brought to New York City, a great many have been wondering when the franchise is going to answer, as Manning's age and declining game have been knocking on the door for quite some time. He ranks 30th in total Quarterback Rating over the past five years, and in that time has led the G-Men to an underwhelming 31-39 record.
