After nearly 40 years of calling The Palace of Auburn Hills home, the Detroit Pistons have finally moved back into the city from which they draw their name.

The team made its official debut Wednesday night at the Little Ceasers Arena, located in the heart of Detroit. The spot is a far cry from the team's former home in Auburn Hills, a suburb of the city.

On hand to help welcome the team back to D-Town was one of the city's biggest stars--Eminem.

Rocking a blue Pistons shirt and black hoodie, Em strode to his seat courtside while "Lose Yourself" played over the arena's sound system.

Em wasted no time in hyping up his hometown crowd. "Detroit, welcome them back for the first time in over 40 years to our city, to my city, to your city! Make some noise for the Detroit Pistons. Let's go!"

The rap legend then moved to a courtside seat alongside manager Paul Rosenberg and producer and D12 group mate Mr. Porter.

This is Eminem's second high-profile public appearance in recent days. He made huge waves after lambasting Donald Trump in a brutal cypher which was broadcast at the BET Hip Hop Awards on Oct. 6.
