Still unsuccessful at finding a team to pick him up, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick recently filed a grievance against NFL owners accusing them of colluding against signing him.

On Tuesday, TMZ Sports caught up with hip-hop and now sports mogul Master P to get his take on the situation. P's advice? Start a new league.

"We have to start our own things...without real ownership, you have no real control," Master P explained. "No matter how much money you make, what you bring to the league--when you look at the NFL, the [defunct United Football League] gave them an option, so these players have no options now."

Speaking on the 1st amendment, the New Orleans native emphasized the importance of players being able to express themselves without retribution from higher-ups.

"Some players have different religions. You should be able to say, 'I wanna kneel or I wanna stand.' But without ownership, you'll never have that option."

After the conversation shifted back to Kaepernick, Master P once again said he should start his own league.

"I'll help him start his own league. I think he should. I mean, he's a great football player. I think the NFL should have some competition."
