Despite reports to the contrary, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Tuesday that she expects Americans are going to be "begging" for another term of President Trump. During an interview with Hugh Hewitt, Sanders said she has a lot of confidence that it "shouldn't be an issue for the president to be re-nominated" by the GOP. According to Sanders, the president's first nine months in office have been "incredibly successful."

"And I think the next three and a half, or two and a half, three years are going to be equally as successful," she said.

"Including getting tax reform done, which is going to be a big deal, and make a really big impact on most Americans, and they’re going to be begging for four more years of President Trump."

Trump and congressional Republicans are now pushing for tax reform after repeatedly failing to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA) also known as ObamaCare. Senate Republicans are pushing forward with a budget that is key to their goal to pass tax reform this year. Democrats and opposition claim Trump's proposals are favored for the rich.

On Monday, Trump held a press conference with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), in which McConnell said he and Trump have the "same agenda" and noted he has been "friends and acquaintances" with Trump for a long time.

Despite being in office for less than a year, Trump has been very focused on re-election, already raising millions of dollars and holding rallies around the country.

According to FiveThirtyEight, Trump's approval rating is at 38.1 percent.
