The Ogden, Utah school district is investigating students from Weber High School who repeatedly used racial slurs on social media. The Juniors and Seniors (all White) featured in the viral clip were laughing while saying "f*** n***ers." Three of the five young women in the video are members of the school's cheerleading team.

The school district released a statement in regards to the incident:

“School officials have started an investigation, and the matter is being taken very seriously. We are trying to determine when the video was made, where it was filmed, why the students would engage in such conduct, and how the clip ended up on social media.”

Weber School District spokesman Lane Findlay said that girls could face anything from counseling to being removed from the cheerleading team or expulsion from school.

Another excerpt from the statement reads:

“Certainly, there are no excuses for this type of behavior, but they are still children in a sense, and hopefully this will be a learning experience for them and others.”

The caption on the disturbing video reads “serggin cuff." Reportedly, the video was edited to play backward which resulted to the racial epithet.
