Famed comedian Bill Bellamy believes Harvey Weinstein has a right to fight for his seat at the company he founded despite the numerous sexual misconduct allegations that have come against him in recent weeks.

Bellamy recently spoke to TMZ and explained why he thinks it makes sense for the producer to contend for his position in the Weinstein Company, “If you work for a company that you built, and people are trying to fire you or get rid of you, then you gotta fight for that. He built that company with his brother."

He also commented on the reason why he believes Weinstein was able to get away with the sexual harassment for so long, “Power man. Money and power gives you a lot of levity. Money and power puts you in positions to make things happen or not. So in respect toward a guy like him, he’s very powerful. A very successful man. He’s made a lot of big projects that we all liked. That we all went to see. He made a lot of people stars. It’s not all bad."

Bill added, “Once you get all that power sometimes people get lost.” Bellamy also said he feels sorry for all of the parties involved including Weinstein.
