In this clip, Wyclef Jean gave his a sort of biographical overview of his life starting as a young child in Haiti and his subsequent move to New York City. Wyclef talked about how his parents moved to the States early on to establish a foundation here before sending for their children back in Haiti. Wyclef remembers thinking that his aunt and uncle were his biological parents because they were all he had known up to that point. Soon after they revealed the truth to him about his parents was Wyclef living with his parents in the projects in Coney Island, Brooklyn. There Wyclef felt that his family had reached a certain economic status coming from their village in Haiti. According to him, the fact that they were inside a building and had an amusement park "in their backyard" made Wyclef feel rich.

Later on in the clip, Wyclef goes in-depth about his start in the music business detailing how his career spans back years before he came on the scene with the Fugees. Wyclef revealed that he's been working within the culture since Kurtis Blow was active and who he said recalls when he [Wyclef] was 15-years-old and rapping in 5 different languages. Wyclef also gives the story behind his track "Out of the Jungle" under the name "Afrikali" and how that name was chosen.
