In addition to bashing Barack Obama and other past U.S. Presidents, with claims that they at times failed to connect with the families of fallen U.S. soldiers during their time in office, President Trump took aim at NFL protesters once again, on Monday, October 16, and this time, he used the opportunity to launch a couple more shots at Hillary Clinton.

Trump had apparently been informed that Clinton expressed support for the league-wide demonstrations that have gone on in the NFL over the last several weeks. When her name was raised as he addressed a crowd of reporters in the White House Rose Garden, he began to chide the former Secretary of State, saying, "Oh, I hope Hillary runs. Is she going to run? I hope. Hillary, please run again! Go ahead." He'd soon follow up the sarcasm by returning to the topic of her favor for the National Anthem protests, responding, "I think she's wrong."

"Look. When they're taking knees - there's plenty of time to do knees and there's plenty of time to do lots of other things. But when you take a knee - Well, that's why she lost the election," said Trump. "I mean, honestly, it's that thinking. That is the reason she lost the election. You're sitting, essentially, for our great national anthem, you're disrespecting our flag and you're disrespecting our country."
