Bobby Shmurda may be locked up, but it seems he's been making constructive use of his time behind bars.

A photo surfaced over the weekend of the Brooklyn rapper all smiles as he posed for the camera with a woman who appears to be his mother, Leslie Pollard. Aside from the two looking quite happy, another thing that stands out is how swole the 23-year-old has become since getting locked up back in September of 2016.

Shmurda, who initially went away for one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession, was facing a sentence of five years. However, the "Bobby B**ch" spitter then picked up an additional four-year sentence after getting caught trying to smuggle a "sharp metal object" into his cell at Rikers Island in 2015. Fortunately for Shmurda, the new sentence is running concurrently with his original bid.

Overall it appears Shmurda got off relatively easy. Back in January an affiliate of the rapper, Santino Boderick, 23, was sentenced to 117 and a half to 130 years in prison for his involvement in gang warfare.

Boderick, also known as Cueno, was convicted of 23 counts, including charges of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder in the second degree, attempted assault in the first degree, and criminal use of a firearm in the first degree.
