LeBron James was ranked by Forbes as the second highest-paid athlete in the world, with his earnings from endorsements as well as a salary bringing him to a total of $86.2 million in 2016. Despite making major money in the past year, James is still known to be one of the cheapest players in the NBA, which he recently admitted.

During an interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade described how cheap he can be. Previously, while on Kelly Ripa’s show, Wade described James as a person who leaves the exact tip when dining out. Also, Wade noted that James’ cheapness extends to only using his phone if he is able to get wi-fi access. LeBron James even went as far as confirming that he would not pay the price for a premium version of Pandora, instead opting to sit through to commercials to save money. He noted that he is “not paying for it,” and also is not willing to pay for any apps on his phone. Fellow teammate Iman Shumpert chimed in with his thoughts via Twitter, agreeing with what was said. Shumpert tweeted, “I can attest to this as a true statement... I hate when the commercials come on during weights smh #theytriiidit.”

Since then, Pandora has reached out and offered to bless LeBron with a premium account free of charge. Watch the interview above.
