After his arrest for reckless driving in New York City in August of this year, Meek Mill accepted a plea deal from the District Attorney's office today. According to TMZ, the arrest will be wiped clean from the Philadelphia rapper's record if he can go a full six months without getting into any more legal trouble.
It was also reported that the rapper has taken the plea deal and also agrees to complete 30 hours of community service. He has already completed 20 out of the 30 hours so far. The Wins & Losses rapper's attorney, Joe Tacopina, spoke with TMZ about the new plea deal, criticizing the police department's involvement in the case.
"This swift resolution vindicates Meek and clearly shows how outrageous the police department's conduct is in this case," says Tacopina.
If you recall, Meek already dodged felony charges for the case, as it was reduced to two misdemeanor counts. The "Whatever You Need" entertainer was reportedly the only one arrested for the reckless driving incident, although Tacopina explained there were at least eight other people doing the same thing with Meek.
The rapper also claims he was not given a traffic ticket at the time of the incident, nor did they arrest him while they were aware of him recklessly driving on the dirt bike.
