By now, the news has spread that Jemele Hill has been suspended from ESPN for two weeks. When the news broke, many people were outraged by ESPN's decision. People started tweeting out their support for Hill immediately.

Reverend Al Sharpton tweeted, "ESPN's suspension of Jemele Hill is an outrage and should NOT go unanswered. ESPN and advertisers will hear from us!"

Rosie O'Donnell followed,"We are with you, @jemelehill. - yes we are "

J. Cole also showed his support for Hill by tweeting out, "Protect @jemelehill"

Some people assumed that Hill's tweet from Sunday was suggesting an NFL boycott, “If you strongly reject what Jerry Jones said, the key is his advertisers,” Hill tweeted Sunday. “Don’t place the burden squarely on the players.”

ESPN released the following statement on Hill's suspension:

“Jemele Hill has been suspended for two weeks for a second violation of our social media guidelines. She previously acknowledged letting her colleagues and company down with an impulsive tweet. In the aftermath, all employees were reminded of how much individual tweets may reflect negatively on ESPN and that such action would have consequences. Hence this decision."
