XXXTentacion just recently got his first platinum plaque for the single "Look At Me" and his debut album 17, has received critical acclaim. Not to mention the shock-value XXX gets from some of his antics like altering his appearance by dyeing his hair silver and shaving his eyebrows. The rappers from this current generation aren't the lyricists that most hip-hop purest revere but there remain a few that can still hold their own in a classic hip-hop setting.
During the BET Hip-Hop Awards, an award show that viewers mostly tune in for to hear bars between commercial breaks, XXXTentacion killed his freestyle, much to the surprise of many viewers. Social media comments ranged from surprise to tons of fire emojis.
