Donald Trump's recent comments towards the NFL has really brought a lot of people down. Including the Dolphins' Michael Thomas. The safety for the team was interviewed in the locker room during today's game and when asked about Trump's comments, he teared up a bit:

“I’m not going to tell you my first thoughts," Thomas stated before going on. "As somebody in the NFL who is one of those ‘sons of bitches,’ yeah I take it personally,” Thomas continued. “But it’s bigger than me. “I’ve got a daughter, and she’s going to have to live in this world. And I gotta do what I got to do to make sure she can look at her dad and be like ‘Hey, you did something to try and make a change."

Thomas also said the following about Trump:

"You’re the leader of the free world, that’s what you’re talking about,” he said.

Trump made the following comments about the NFL via Twitter on Saturday:

If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL,or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect....

...our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem. If not, YOU'RE FIRED. Find something else to do!

He also said the following today via Twitter:

If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!

...NFL attendance and ratings are WAY DOWN. Boring games yes, but many stay away because they love our country. League should back U.S.

Great solidarity for our National Anthem and for our Country. Standing with locked arms is good, kneeling is not acceptable. Bad ratings!
