NBA player Jimmy Butler was recently traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves and has been making major efforts to adjust to his new team. Butler and many other players have been gearing up for the upcoming 2017-2018 season, with many prepping themselves for the preseason, which starts on September 30. During an interview, Jimmy Butler showed just much prep he was actually doing. Though on a different team, Butler’s sense of humor remains the same, as the player was seen during an interview clowning an ESPN reporter scheduled to speak with him.

When speaking to Nick Friedell, Butler immediately began with the jokes. He can be seen wearing a blazer and putting a football under his shirt to mimic Friedell’s weight. From there, Butler said “Hey look I’m Nick Friedell, I work for ESPN. I think I’m cooler than everybody.” Friedell began the interview after that by asking Butler to explain his outfit. Butler said “I’m you,” then went on to say “Here give me the mic. ’Hey Nick, how does it feel to be with the new team today? I used to cover you in Chicago. How do you feel about that?’” From there, Friedell thanked Butler and said “Thanks, but you need to lose some weight though.” Jimmy responded by saying “Nah I’ll be alright, it’s a football. It’s not real,” then proceeds to pat Friedell’s stomach. Watch above.
