Following remarks by President Trump for NFL owners to fire players for kneeling during the national anthem, Jaguar Owner Shad Khan became the first owner to lock arms with other players on the field during the anthem in an unprecedented show of solidarity. Pakastini-born Shahid "Shad" Khan became the first minority to own an NFL time when he bought the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011 for $750 million. Khan also owns the English Football League Championship team Fulham F.C., and auto parts maker Flex-N-Gate. He has a current net worth of almost $9 billion.

Many of the other NFL owners, as well as the NFL, denounced Donald Trump's comments via written statements.
