Hip Hop legend LL Cool J took to social media to give his two cents on the backlash against President Trump's controversial call for NFL protesters to be fired by their owners, early Sunday, September 24. In a recording taken while he cruised through the night, the transcendent rap figure appeared to get a bit sentimental as he spoke from a place of reflection on the whole situation. Uncle L then broke down why he believes the players should do more than just kneel.

"I've been thinking about it, and um, I think the NFL players should take a knee tomorrow. But my thing about it is, fellas, when you take a knee maybe you should take two knees and pray, you know what I'm saying? Pray for our country," LL said. "Pray that we can find some solidarity; some clarity during this madness. And um, you know, lets pray for each other, know what I'm saying? Because a house divided will destroy itself you know what I mean?"

LL's suggestion came hours after legendary songwriter and composer Stevie Wonder got down on one knee, and then lowered his second knee in prayer, after declaring that he was "taking a knee for America," during his Global Citizen Festival set in New York City.
