The comedy scene is known to be highly competitive, but it is also a fairly small world to navigate as a comic, and so, it is also a somewhat fraternal scene. It isn't uncommon for comedians to have their beef but still come to bat for one another when it counts, and that's exactly what Dave Chappelle did when presented with an inquiry into his thoughts on the sex tape scandal that has rocked the Hart team and family over the past week.

TMZ caught up with Chappelle on the streets of Georgetown in D.C. on Friday morning, September 22. After letting it be known that he refuses to bash the What Now? star, Chappelle assured the reporter who approached him that whether or not Hart chooses to make the current events part of his routine, the routine is still going to rock. "I'll tell you what Kevin's an expert at engaging and cultivating his audience. So whatever he does, it's going to be beautiful, man. I still support him, I love him, and I'm going to be watching him," said Chappelle.

As it stands the FBI has gotten involved in investigating the alleged extortion plot against Hart, and in exercising search warrants that were issued earlier this week, have reportedly recovered Phone records, hard drives, and other electronics that are said to be pivotal to the case.
