Former director of the FBI, James Comey made the news earlier this year when he was invited to host a lecture series at the "Mecca" of historically black colleges, Howard University. Comey also gave the convocation speech for this year's freshmen class at Howard and was honored when he was appointed the 2017-2018 Gwendolyn S. and Colbert King Endowed Chair in Public Policy for the University. Something significant happened during one of Comey's lectures. While the former FBI Director was speaking a group of students in the back of the auditorium saw this as an opportunity to be heard.

In a large hall, a few students burst out into song with fists stretched out of their heads. They began to sing the song that was sung by protesters in the Civil Rights movement when they would march in the streets of the Jim Crow South, "We Shall Not Be Moved." As faculty, administrators and fellow students look on and record on their phones the group of singing students do not cease. In fact, you'll notice a few neighboring student join the choir as well.
