A Republican representative in South Dakota is facing some serious heat after a post she made on Facebook. Rep. Lynn DiSanto posted a meme on her Facebook of a car running over stick figures that read "All Lives Splatter. Nobody cares about your protest. Keep your a** out the road," and captioned it "I think this is a movement we can all get behind. #AllLivesSplatter." In light of the growing tensions between police and members of the African American community the phrase "Black Lives Matter" has been given great attention.

DiSanto's post was taken as a play on the slogan "All Lives Matter," which is a gesture of resistance to the Black Lives Matter movement. The post was made on Sept. 7th but it was taken down soon after. DiSanto apologized and said that she "perceived it differently." Although she will remain in her political position, DiSanto has lost her job at a local real estate firm over this post.
