In a story by Frank Isola of the NY Daily News, he says that people in Melo's camp are saying that the trade between the NY Knicks and Houston Rockets are almost complete. Melo fully aware of the Knicks intentions has narrowed his trade list down to one team, the Rockets. In July, a source that was familiar with negotiations between the two teams alleged that the deal was on the "two-yard-line."
