Surveillance video of a Kentucky man who authorities believe they have identified as a town thief was released to the public after he recently broke into a funeral home and stole the clothes and jewelry of a deceased man whose body was in preparation to be laid to rest.

A review of the footage revealed to Leitchfield police that the man had been in the Hunt Funeral Home for a full three hours, during which time he was able to eat candy, drink soda, and nap, before taking off with a flat-screen TV, a PlayStation 3, and an iPod, before taking off with the keys to a hearse. But it was the moment in which the recording captures the suspect picking up 81-year-old Ray Daughtery's draws and sniffing them before putting them on that investigators got the sense they were dealing with someone living in a more desperate state than they had originally assumed. He would then go on to dress in Daughtery's khaki pants, green sports jacket, and jewelry.

Investigators believe they recognize the suspect as the same man involved in a theft at a nearby WalMart but are continuing to try to establish his identity.
