Recently, Kevin Durant went on a Twitter rant where he spoke about his old teammates and coach from the Thunder. Durant was asked to give “one legitimate reason for leaving OKC” other than getting a championship, to which he responded “He didn’t like the organization or playing for Billy Donovan. His roster wasn’t that good, it was just him and Russ.” From there, Durant went on to say “Imagine taking Russ off that team, see how bad they were. KD can’t win a championship with those cats.”

Now, Durant has addressed his words from yesterday, saying “I don’t regret clapping back at anybody.. I do regret using my former Coach’s name.. that was childish and idiotic.” Durant also said “I use Twitter to engage with fans. I think it’s a great way to engage with basketball fans. I happened to take it a little too far. That’s what happens sometimes when I get into these basketball debates about what I really love, to play basketball.” He concluded his thoughts by saying “I was pretty mad at myself. Definitely, want to move on keep playing basketball.”
