While perceptions on who took Saturday night's (September 16) Las Vegas fight between Gennady "GGG" Golovkin and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vary, most who watched the 12-round affair believe one particular judge's score to be inexplicable. Judge Dave Moretti scored the bout 115-113 in favor of Golovkin and judge Don Trella scored it 114-114. But seeing how close the Moretti and Trella saw the contest, it would appear as though judge Adalaide Byrd was watching a different boxing match altogether. She had Canelo winning by an indisputable score of 118-110.

The way boxing great George Foreman sees it, Byrd may very well need a new pair of glasses. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't agree with the outcome of the fight. "I don't think there was a victory. You know, you look at those judges and they figured this guy Canelo was supposed to be knocked out by the GGG man. He couldn't pull it off. And so the judges are saying 'We didn't come here to look at this song and dance. Hey, it's a draw. He didn't get knocked out either,'" Foreman told TMZ on Monday, September 18.

Foreman went on to reject the notion that the outcome was indicative of how corrupt boxing is, and isolated the problem to the specific judge who many felt was in the wrong. "You know, like I said, there could be some vision problems here," he said.
