Recently, Macklemore made an appearance on Hot 97 for Ebro In The Morning. During his appearance, the rapper talked about a variety of topics. He has a new album coming soon called Gemini, which he addressed and went into detail as to what fans can expect from his new work. Along with that, Macklemore addressed fans who don’t respect his message and boo him. The rapper said “At this point, I’m just…if you’re going to the show in 2017 and you don’t know what I’m about politically, get the f*** out. I don’t need your money. I don’t need you as a fan, and you don’t need to be here. F***ing leave. Call it what it is.”

From there, Macklemore spoke about the recently life-threatening car crash he was involved in. His visit during Hot 97 didn’t end on a somber note though, as the rapper made sure he got some of his bars off over JAY-Z’s “Lucifer” instrumental. The freestyle found Macklemore rhyming about his rise as an independent artist, and also not caring about what a hater thinks of his music or him. He also managed to rhyme about the Grammys he pulled during the 2014 award ceremony, despite the backlash that came with them from the hip-hop community from the “Best Rap Album” win over Kendrick Lamar.
