WWE Superstar Triple H was deeply saddened by the loss of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan who died this past weekend.

TMZ caught up with the wrestler and executive who revealed an interesting previously unknown fact about the legendary manager. “[He’s] one of the all-time best ever,” said Triple H. “What most people don’t know is, Bobby could have done anything. He’s one of the best in-ring performers there was. He just chose not to do it. He wanted to be a manager. That’s what he wanted to do.” Triple H also described Heenan as “one of the naturally funniest guys ever.”

Heenan was a manager for most of his career in the WWE. He worked with a plethora of legends including Andre the Giant, Sid Justice, Big John Studd, Rick Rude and Mr. Perfect. Keenan left the company to join rival WCW in the mid-1990s and eventually made his way back to retire at the company that made him a household name when Vince McMahon purchased it in 2001. He’s one of the most antagonistic heels to ever be a part of wrestling. The cause of his death is unknown at this time, but he had been battling throat cancer since 2002. He was 73-years-old.
