CNN anchor Don Lemon thinks ESPN should apologize to President Trump for Jemele Hill’s remarks under one condition, and it doesn’t look like it will be met anytime soon.

Lemon told TMZ that the network explained their position and that was enough for him. He also stated his terms for Trump to get a formal apology. “Put it this way, I think when the president worked for NBC as ‘The Apprentice,’ and he said that Barack Obama was not born here and he called Barack Obama racist if he apologizes for that then maybe ESPN should apologize,” said Lemon.

Jemele Hill came under fire after she sent out a controversial tweet that shook up the White House pretty quickly. “Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists,” tweeted Hill last week. Trump responded a few days later with a tweet of his own. “ESPN is paying a really big price for its politics (and bad programming). People are dumping it in RECORD numbers. Apologize for untruth! ” wrote the president. Hill took to Twitter a few days before to state that she was simply sharing her views and not those of ESPN. The White House has called for the company to fire her, but no decision has been made regarding her job.
