As the NFL season progresses past its second week and the inevitability of injuries linger so does question as to whether Colin Kaepernick will command a pro-football team as its quarterback again. It has been difficult to gauge Kaepernick's interest in returning, much less his viability, seeing how he's been relatively silent about the prospects of signing to a team since being passed on following a workout with the Seattle Seahawks in May. But on Sunday, September 17, former New York Daily News editorialist Shaun King confirmed that Kaep revealed to him a willingness and readiness to jump right into action.

"Yes. I've never stopped. I'm ready right now. Working out daily," King reports Kaepernick responding when posed the question during a weekend sit-down.

Kaepernick has been pursued by teams in the Canadian Football League under the radar and recently had rights to his prospective signing picked up by the Montreal Alouettes. But as has been the case with NFL teams that have expressed curiosity, the former 49ers QB has been non-responsive. Up until this point, his silence has been interpreted by some as a disinterest in moving forward in the league, in the face of a perceived boycott being waged by team owners.
