This morning has been an especially tough one for Drake and the OVO crew as they lost a close friend, Fif.
Drake took to Instagram early this morning to confirm the loss of his friend and express his love and condolences. Drake posted a picture of Fif captioned: “RIP to one of our family members… Our brother… I still can't believe this morning was real. It was a honor to have shared years together, and I will always keep your memory alive #ForeverFif”.
Fif may not be a household name, but Drake has mentioned his longtime homie on wax as recently as his 2017 "More Life" project.
At this time, no details on the cause of death have been revealed but based on Drake's post and reaction to Fif's death; it came as a total surprise.
RIP Fif, prayers go out to his family and the whole OVO crew.
