Some serious drama seems to be brewing between Fast and the Furious stars Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson; at least on Tyrese's end.

It all began with news that Johnson is reportedly working on a spinoff movie centering on his Fast and the Furious character, Luke Hobbs. Tyrese seems to be plenty worried that the spinoff will push back the release date of the ninth installment in the Fast franchise, currently set for April of 2019.

In an Instagram post put up by Johnson on Sunday, he alluded to signing paperwork for the rumored spinoff. Gibson was quick to comment on the post, also claiming that Johnson's been ignoring his attempts to get in contact.

"If you move forward with that #Hobbs Movie you will have purposely ignored the heart to heart moment we had in my sprinter," Gibson wrote in a since-deleted comment on the post. "I don't wanna hear from you until you remember what we talked about. I'm on your timeline cause you're not responding to my text messages – #FastFamily is just that a family…….. We don't fly solo."

On Tuesday, followers of Tyrese's Instagram would have seen a lengthy since-deleted post in which he further pleaded with The Rock to postpone any plans to film a spinoff.

"I want you to shoot it just not right now cause the #Fast9 release date has already been announced," Tyrese wrote in part. "We can't let our loyal fans down on any level from pushing the date..."
