Lil Wayne is not going to let his epilepsy send him into an early retirement according to his longtime manager Cortez Bryant.

TMZ recently caught up with Bryant who shared that Weezy is doing better after his recent seizure and is headed back to the studio to “give his fans what they need.” The outlet asked about an early retirement, but Bryant suggested that’s not happening anytime soon. “He a workaholic. That’s what got him to where he is now,” said Bryant. “He’s in the studio all the time trying to make music and get through this situation. He’s an epileptic, so that’s the reality of it. It’s something that we know we’re going to have to deal with for the rest of his life. And we just make sure that he [takes] the meds and try to force him to get some rest but sometimes he doesn’t do that.”

Bryant said the disease is not going to hinder Wayne’s progress as an artist. The rapper's last series of seizures took place in Chicago last weekend. Wayne was found unconscious in his hotel room and was rushed to one of the city’s hospitals. Shortly after the incident, Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter tweeted that her father was “doing fine” despite reports stating otherwise. He reportedly suffered one seizure at his hotel and another once he arrived at the hospital.
