Lonzo Ball ruffled some feathers when during the filming of his new Ball In The Family reality series, he echoed sentiments projected by many among the incoming generation of hip-hop fans who tune out classic hip-hop artists and records. In Ball's words: "don't nobody listen to Nas no more... real hip-hop is Migos, Future." The comment managed to catch the attention of Michael Rapaport, and as he's gained quite a young fan base of his own doing, he drew up a witty response to put the Lakers star in his place.

"You said that Nas ain't hip-hop? My man, you grew up in Chino Hills. What the f**k do you know about hip-hop?," Rapaport said, before characterizing the suburban reared phenom as the type who's selection of favorite gangsta films include Malibu's Most Wanted and White Chics. He then inferred that he hears where Ball is coming from and expects some of the androgynist fashion components associated with the new wave to follow him on to the court. "I get it: you're young, dumb, and full of cum. And when you show up to your first playoff game listening to that mumble rap bulls**t rocking a purse, I don't want everybody to freak out," Rapaport said.

Ball's comments revive a debate over the youth and their disregard for those who laid the bricks for them in hip-hop that dragged through much of 2016 after Lil Uzi Vert refused to spit over a boom-bap beat and Lil Yachty said that Nas was boring.
