North Korea has been conducting missiles tests, with their most recent one occurring this past Tuesday. The rogue nation flew missiles over Japanese territory, with the missile landing in the Pacific Ocean. Now, reports surfaced saying the United States has conducted a successful nuclear missile defense test of their own.

The U.S. Missile Defense Agency, as well as the Navy, conducted a nuclear missile defense test that took place off of the coast of Hawaii. The MDA noted that the test was scheduled in advance and that it was done from the USS John Paul Jones. The test comes only one day after North Korea fired off a ballistic missile over Japanese territory. The MDA gave the reasoning behind the test, saying the test gives the naval part of their missile defense system a better chance of intercepting ballistic missiles.
