Cardi B is proud of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s stance against police brutality and made sure to let him know that at MTV’s Video Music Awards last night. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper said, “Colin Kaepernick, as long as you kneel with us, we’re gonna be standing for you baby.” The show of love came right before Cardi announced Demi Lovato’s performance.

Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the national anthem has pretty much put a halt to his NFL career. Artists like J. Cole have come out in public support of the quarterback who has been hosting events to create awareness for police brutality in minority communities.
