Famed bodybuilder Rich Piana has finally succumbed to the state he collapsed into before doctors placed him into a medically induced coma three weeks ago.
Emergency medical personnel rushed to Piana's aid after receiving a desperate call from his girlfriend on August 7. She had reportedly been in the middle of cutting Piana's hair when he fell over and was unresponsive to her attempts to spark his consciousness. Upon searching through Piana's home a white powdery substance believed to have been cocaine was sighted and more than 20 bottles of steroids were recovered.
Piana's death was announced by Florida's District Six Medical Examiner on Friday, August 25. An investigation into the cause of death is ongoing. Piana was 46-years-old.
