Previously, it was reported that hip hop legend Kidd Creole, a member of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, allegedly stabbed a homeless man to death in midtown Manhattan. The former rapper got into an argument with a 55-year-old man named John Jolly on August 1st. According to Glover, he believed that Jolly was attempting to come on to him in a sexual manner, which led to their altercation. Assistant District Attorney Mark Dahl said Creole was convinced that Jolly was going to rob him, so he stabbed him multiple times with a blade.

From there, Kidd Creole (real name: Nathaniel Glover) was charged with second-degree murder. When standing in front of a judge who asked him to enter his plea, Creole said: “Not guilty, sir.” Kidd Creole is set to appear in court again on September 6, 2017.
