It was virtually impossible for anyone who watched Trump's speech in Phoenix on Tuesday night [August 22] to have missed the "Blacks For Trump 2020" sign raising up among the supporters selected for seating in the backdrop of his podium. For one thing, the man holding it was situated directly over his shoulder, and secondly, he just appeared very out of place in the crowd.

Michael Symonette is his name (aka Michael The Black Man), although he often goes by Maurice Symonette. Nine years ago some came to know Symonette for carrying a “Blacks Against Obama” sign from Republican campaign stump to Republican campaign stump. It was at that point that he began summoning the praises of such GOP big shots as Glenn Beck, Rick Santorum, Allen West, and Tea Party types around the party. Since then he's been going just as hard, often rearing up at rallies in the Miami, Florida area. But the support he gets from his intended beneficiaries is baffling when one considers how obscure Symonette's politics are.

Blacks For Trump 2020 is actually a website Symonette runs, as is Gods2.com, both of which share conspiracies that conflate the KKK together with Cherokee Indians and accuses them of the system's ills. Gods2.com leads visitors to HonestFacts.com. In skimming down the page that opens up from the link, readers are introduced to the theory that Trump has been selected by God in order to unite White and Black people against the Cherokee. Symonette also bears deep opposition to Hillary Clinton, and all Democrats for that matter, but especially Clinton, who he claims is linking with Isis to plot a race war against Black and White women.
