Russ has garnered success with two platinum singles under his belt, millions of views on YouTube, sold out tours without the help of a label. From the onslaught of his fame, Russ has been known to call out the industry for its politics and how the underdog gets overlooked.

On Monday (Aug. 21) the New Jersey rapper released a track titled "The Game" where he once again takes shots at his adversaries, including hip hop award shows. "Where do I start damn, man my mind is racing/Hip-hop awards getting chosen by some racists/I'm in the yo, with a bottle of some clear sh-t/You don't know the truth, you just hear sh-t.," raps Russ over the dreary production.

He later continues on to take shots direct at MTV and the VMAs for his recent snub: "F--k MTV, y'all really snubbed me/ How you choosing people with numbers that ain't above me?/ Oh wait, politics/ Playing at these colleges, getting paid more to perform than any scholarship."
