Life after the NFL seems to have gotten rough for former Denver Broncos player Quanterus Smith, as he recently led Gwinnett County police on a high-speed chase. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Smith and another man named Brandon Byse allegedly went into an AT&T store and demanded money, but instead took iPhones and immediately left. From there, the men were seen in a car not too far away. Sheriffs attempted to pull the men over, but they sped off, which led to a high-speed pursuit.
In the video above, the men in the car can be seen trying to break away from the police, but ultimately were taken out by the PIT maneuver, which found the police hitting the rear end of the suspect’s car. This caused the car to spin out of control and veer off the road into a tree. From there, cops can be seen apprehending the suspects with no issue. Smith ended up being charged with felony fleeing, armed robbery, attempting to elude, and misdemeanor theft.
